I really loved the area that were were staying at in Buenos Aires. It is called Palermo Soho. It is the area where all the fashionable boutiques are located and most of the best restaurants in the city are all there. If your a beef lover than Argentina is the land for you. The quality and the abundance of beef in this country is so good that if your a carnivore than this is your nirvana. I on the other hand can only take so much meat and after a couple of meals where beef was the star I was really yearning for the subtleness of sea food.

What I love about Palermo Soho is that you can actually walk around and enjoy the place. Something very hard to do in Buenos Aires as the city is so large you need a car.
While moving around the beautifully decorated restaurants and bars in our area my Uncle Rey suggested SIPAN. http://www.sipanpalermo.com Located inside a beautiful boutique restaurant is this Peruvian restaurant with a leaning towards Japanese. It was here where I had one of our best meals! We started out with the most incredible Empanadas. It was light, crisp and had the most sensational filings of chicken, cream and eggs! I loved it. We paired it with the most decadent Pisco-Sours that I ever had! One glass is really all you need as this cocktail was danger in a cup! LOL!
We then were served these beautiful spoons a shrimp with a delightful sauce and crispy shallots that just made my palette sing. In between the courses there was this addicting crisp corn kernels that were like popped corn but not. I swear I had to take that plate away from me as I consumed one serving in less than 5 minutes.
Bob and Sandy ordered a beef dish which they said was good but I saved my appetite for the the ceviche which was so good I had to book my last meal in South America there. The ceviches was everything that I was craving for. Fresh sea food with that sour bite! It was just perfection in a bowl! When you do get to BA do have your beef but save room for SIPAN! It’s my absolute favourite restaurant in Argentina!
