Alix & Gabba’s EXTRAVAGANZA!

My family is really not big of big birthday celebrations!  However it has been a tradition to celebrate the 7th year of any of our children.  I am the ninong of all of my nephews and nieces.  It is because of all of them that my desire to have children are answered and fully satisfied.

I tend to spoil all of them and I am proud to out do Santa Claus every Christmas with regards to the gifts they receive.  Two of my god daughters recently celebrated their birthdays and the older of the two one day went up to me and asked?  Ninong?  Can I have a birthday party this year?  I then answered Alix of course!  Then she answered but ninong…..I want it to be an EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!! I was like smiling from ear to ear and said a silent prayer of thanks!  OMG!  Alix is truly related to me!  LOL!

After several brainstorming sessions I thought of a “Masquerade Ball” for the theme.  It was easy enough as the kids can come in costumes and the rest of the adults can just bring masks.  My sister Venisse, Gela and Samantha did all of the preparations and I was tasked to make some of the masks and of course dress up our birthday girls!

A huge heap of thanks also to my Magnum family for lending me the special thrones that really made everyone so happy!  Alix ran up to me when the thrones arrived and tole me ” Ninong….you just don’t know how this makes me feel so special!”   I was so happy!  My Magnum family also sent several boxes of ice cream which made everyone feel truly like Royalty!  Thank you Bryan and Jean for the tremendous support!  As the photos will show you everyone was over the moon with happiness!
